And let me just say this won't be an easy choice. I've really enjoyed hosting this contest and am seriously considering a cycle two this summer. I loved all my contestants and the screenshots every week (and the outtakes!). This has been a lot of fun. Good job everyone!

Ode to a Panel of Judges
Though I know not thy faces, I envision thee thus

Thy beauties are radiant as celestials divine
Which words cannot truly describe;
As you dance between entries, ensample as trine

Thy appraisals are the sweetest of melodies
As a Rain Beetle's clarion song,
A chorus of voices like the purest of streams
Or being drenched in a Water Djinn throng.

While honey I love to pour in thine ears
I fear it may sticky thy hair
So silken and soft, as webbing of Lifeweav'r
How many men are entangled in there?

Fair maidens, this week I humbly beseech
Gaze down from thy cloud thrones above
Look upon this, thy servant within reach
And show me thy undying love.

Judge 1: Oh my goodness. Your poem sir Dues, makes me blush and feel extremely flattered. If I had dues reading that poem while looking like that in the picture... *phew* Great creative job with the poem, it was flattering, original and amusing at the same time. Though its a bit plain, you manage to keep the shot interesting, with your sexy manly pose of yours. Good job!
Judge 2: Absolutely beautiful poem! I love it! I find it so creative how you added actual game creatures to the poem and still focused on the main objective. As for your picture...WOW! Definately seductive enough to want me to keep you in the competition! You are the first thing I notice, and though the background is pretty (with the sparkly water and all), you still keep my attention. The sky is a little bright, but not too bad. So I think you did great this week!
Judge 3: Deus is certainly a hunk! I am a bit disappointed by your photo though as it is terribly boring for the most part. I mean, Deus looks awesome as always, but other than that there is nothing going on in the photo. All I can say for the poem is...Fantastic. Just fantastic.

Judge 1: I for one thought your poem was really funny, and I can understand that completely. Although it wasn't very flattering, I would have still appreciated receiving a poem like this

. Your picture is pretty cute, I think. I love the background, and the pink bushes by you are simply wonderful to the shot, as is your pose. One thing that seems a bit strange though, is the overall lighting of the shot (it looks a bit gloomy, despite the happy cheery surroundings). Maybe if you cropped the clouds out, it may have helped a little bit.
Judge 2: lol! I laughed so hard at your poem! It is funny but humor isn't really what we wanted here.

What we wanted was a nice, flattering poem that would make us want to keep you. Your poem sounds like you're already gone, since you say you enjoyed being in the contest. Your picture is lovely, I find it very creative how you are blowing a kiss at us. It is seductive, but your background is just a little too busy for me. Other than that, good job!
Judge 3: VERY cute!!! Very creative; blowing a kiss as us. I think that the background is a bit too busy for my liking, but I do enjoy the overall mood that the photo give off. One other thing that I noticed is your near wardrobe malfunction, be careful about glitches.

Your poem is hilarious! It is very cute, and although it might not have been intentional, it really sounds like something Nymph would have actually written as it matches with her personality well.

Scarlet Renoux
I hear your beautiful voice
Throughout the softness of the wind

Judge 1: Oh my, your poem is very seductive, to me at least. If your writing to us though, I don't swing that way! I enjoy your picture however, it is clean and simple and scarlet looks wonderful. Your background was a good choice, keeping it to a minimum so that scarlet pops out the most. The tree is a nice touch, and other then the questionable poem to us (although well written

) you did a good job.
Judge 2: Very beautiful and romantic poem! However, it sounds like you're writing it to a lover and not to the judges, which is what the assignment called for. Yes it is flattering but, like I said, it was supposed to be to the judges. Your picture is stunning. It does make me want to keep you in this competition. Your picture is fine, but it doesn't give that "sensual, seductive" feel to it, more like fragile and innocent. And the sun is a bit distracting.
Judge 3: For the photo, I like the effect you were going for with this, but I have seen what you can do and you can do better than this. I think you should have chosen a better tree to use, and you could have been a bit further away from it it would have made for less negative space. The small blades of grass are a bit of a bother too. The poem, although VERY well written, I think you missed the point of the poem. You were to write a poem to us, the judges, and your piece looks more like it is written to a lover with whom you shared an intimate experience with. Frequent use of the word "you" does not make the poem seem that it is to the reader.

Nymph, I think your little wardrobe malfunction helps a lot in the shot. It teases the eye just a little, and shows that there's something a little edgier behind the delicate wallflower exterior. And Scarlet, you look like some knight in shining armor has just taken your breath away. Excellent work, both of you!

There is a reason why I went for a plain background for my shot... No little distractions in view that could possibly steal the eye away. Just Deus, his shirtlessness, and his woofiness. And considering I've never written romantic poetry for ladies before (or romantic poetry for anyone - I don't consider myself to be that kinda guy at all) I'm quite proud of my poem this week

Now I'm even more nervous about this week's scores, if that could be possible. I'll go post some outtakes in the meantime

Okay here are the results for assignment #8! This is to determine who will be in the final two. First, let me explain the scores:

20 points were possible for each contestant this week. 10 for the poem, and 10 for the picture. Those scores were added together for the total score, which is what you see here.

Scores
Deus Toutatis: 17+15+17=49
Nymphalis Antiopa: 15+12+14=41
Scarlet Renoux: 12+11+10=33

That leaves Deus up for the final two! So that means the judges had to decide between these two lovely ladies who should get to stay in the final two.

This was most definately the most difficult decision we've made so far in the entire contest. The scores this week were not the only factor. We looked back on previous work for signs of improvement, taking advice, overall performance, etc. And we did finally come to a decision.

Eliminatee

Congratulations to the final two! No more prizes, only being in the final two, and the winner will get 50k in-game cash!

I'm not entirely sure when assignment 9 will be posted. Normally it would be posted after this, but Scarlet messaged me on here and she will be out of town with no Internet until Tuesday. So I will most likely wait until then to post the final assignment, but the final two will have the same amount of time to complete it (as in five days). Stay tuned!

Two of the ten contestants remain. It all comes down to this. This is what we've all been waiting for. It's time for our final assignment (and list of rules).

This time, we want to review what you've done. We want you to be you. We want to see who "you" are. Your assignment is to go to a location that clearly describes "you" (must be different from your application photo) and give us a signature pose that shows who you are. In addition, please answer the following questions:

1. What was your favorite assignment and why?
2. What was the hardest assignment for you and why?
3. Who do you believe was your fiercest competitor throughout this competition (even if he or she is already gone) and why?
4. Who do you consider to be your smallest threat and why?
5. What are your feelings on your competitor?
6. What are your overall feelings of this competition and experience?
7. Why should you be Guild Wars' Most Wanted?

You will be judged based on how well you answered the questions as well as how well you took your shot. There are 10 points possible for each part of the assignment - 10 for the picture and 10 for the writing. Those two scores will be added together for the total, and so on. Just like last week.

Also, because this is the final assignment, we won't just post who won this week. Instead, we'll also be posting the winner for the whole contest! The three judges, a special guest judge, and the public vote will be used to determine the winner. It takes 3/5 votes to win. I will be making a video to announce the winner. I've got it started, just need the ending. The scores for this week will help the judges backstage to determine who wins. But it's not only this assignment that is a factor, it's previous ones as well.

The first-place winner gets 50k. Also, because it only seems fair and since you both have come so far, done so well, and worked so hard, we've also decided to award 10k to the second place winner.
